Shona (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is a tailoring business management application developed for Android. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data when you use the Shona app.

a) Account & Profile
- Email address (used to create and secure your account)
- Full name and phone number (entered during profile setup)
- Basic profile data if you choose to sign in with Google
b) Business Information
- Shop name, business type (solo or shop), preferred language and currency
- Business logo image (uploaded optionally by you)
- Payment methods you configure
c) Customer & Order Data
When you use Shona to run your business, you enter data about your clients and orders. This includes:
- Customer names, phone numbers, gender, location, and body measurements
- Style notes and outfit preferences
- Order details: outfit type, fabric, status, deadline, price, and deposit amounts
- Payment records: amounts, methods, and dates
- Staff names and roles (if you use Shop mode)
This data belongs to you. We process it solely to provide the app's functionality.
d) Advertising Data (Google AdMob)
Shona displays ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may automatically collect:
- Device advertising ID (Google Advertising ID / GAID)
- Device type, OS version, and app usage information
- Approximate location (country/region level, derived from IP address)
- Ad interaction data (views, clicks)
This data is collected by Google, not by Shona, and is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
e) Technical Data
- App version and basic device information for diagnostics
- Crash and error reports (if applicable)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your Shona account
- To back up and sync your business data securely across your devices
- To restore your data after reinstalling the app
- To display relevant advertisements through Google AdMob
- To send order reminder notifications (only if you enable them)

We do not sell your personal data or your customers' data to third parties. We do not use your business or customer data for advertising purposes.
4. Data Storage & Security
Shona is designed to work offline. Your data is stored locally on your device and is available even without an internet connection. When you are online, your data is automatically backed up to our secure cloud servers so you can restore it on any device.
Your data is protected with access controls — only your account can read or write your records. Your business logo is stored securely and is only accessible to you.
While we implement strong security measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your device secure.
5. Advertising
Shona uses Google AdMob to display advertisements within the app. Ads help us keep the core app free for all tailors.

6. Third-Party Services
Shona integrates with certain third-party services to deliver its features. These services have their own privacy policies:

7. Your Rights
You have the following rights over your data:
- Access: You can view all data you have entered within the app.
- Correction: You can edit your profile, customers, and business information at any time within the app.
- Deletion: You can permanently delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account → Delete Account. This action is irreversible and removes all your data from our servers.

8. Children's Privacy
Shona is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
